Descripción general:
The Chilean dancer Elsa Martin trained at the Mary Wigman School of Dance in Dresden, Germany, in the second half of the 1920s. Free dance, exoticism, and expressionism in dance were her main influences. In the thirties she joined Andreé Haas to teach dance in a school in the center of Santiago city. The photographic image of Hochhäusler, presumably of the decade of the thirties of the XX century, unites the imaginary of the two artists generating a pictorial trace of the dancing body of great value for the history of the Chilean dance.
