The Austrian-born photographer Ignacio Hochhäusler photographed the dancer Yerka Luksic outdoors (presumably in the region of Valparaíso, Chile, where she had her home). Luksic trained with Andrèe Haas and Elsa Martin and was part of the first generation of dancers trained at the University of Chile by Lola Botka, Ernst Uthoff and Rudolf Pescht. The photograph shows the influence of free dance and expressionism, particularly regarding the poses, costumes, movements, and the treatment of light in the open air.
