Descripción general:
Ignacio Hochhäusler’s photograph shows a very typical posture of German expressionist dance, with the arms crossed over the abdomen and downwards around the waist. The dancer Andrèe Haas was a fundamental reference in Chilean dance. Born in Switzerland, she studied rhythm with Emilie Dalcroze in the 1920s and dance with Mary Wigman in the 1930s. Her work with musical rhythm in connection with movement led her to become a reference in the teaching of dance in Chile.
