With the palms of her hands and her chest inclined towards the sky, her elbows half bent, one foot on the floor, and the other just resting on her toes, Brunowa takes us to an oriental imaginary. The pose of the dancer's body, in combination with her costume, reveals a form of representation characteristic of exoticism in dance in the twenties of the twentieth century.
