Welcome to the Desenfoque Project (blur project), a platform of archiving, research, and broadcasting of unpublished material related to the artistic and cultural intertwining of free dance, exoticism in dance and Ausdruckstanz that German-speaking countries deployed in the Southern Cone of Latin America during the first decades of the twentieth century.

Haas/Sauré AR 024
The dancer Andrèe Haas was born in Switzerland, studied rhythmic with Emile Dalcroze in the 1920s, and danced with Mary Wigman in the 1930s.

The Chilean dancer Elsa Martin trained at the Mary Wigman School of Dance in Dresden, Germany, in the second half of the 1920s.
